The Dove Clay Cutter

This is a tool used for cutting polymer clay.
It is one of the most useful tools I have had now.
It can be used for so many things in claying.
What I love about it the most is that it keeps you from
cutting yourself so much with
that razor sharp tissue blade.
The cutter is approx. 4 1/2 inches wide at the base
for the blade, you can use ANY blade in it that is over
4 1/2 inches long. The height of the opening and the blade
combined is approx. 1 1/2 inches.
The only long blade that cannot be put in this handle
is the wavy blade.
It is made of pot metal and very durable.
With the handle you can hang it
for easy access or you can also still put the blade with
the handle to hold it up.
With this blade it is very much safer to handle,
you don't have to hold the blade
itself to do your cutting.
It will hold your blade very taut
so you can cut a large
block of clay as well as your small canes.
You can cut the
canes very easily with it,
at times I have cut more than
one piece of cane,
just left the piece on the blade and cut 6 more
according size of the cane.
Another use for the it, I just found is
that you can chop much easier with this,
I chopped up my FIMO Original
really fine, really fast. Was great!!
